Theres something with the o rings what blow out under boost. Ive seen pfi install drilled out washers to prevent this.

So I don’t know if anyone has asked this. But the angle you put the intercooler at. Just to ask, why wouldn’t you make it parallel with the hood, or possibly mount it a little lower that parallel. Wouldn’t the intercooler catch more air in these ways?

Taylor if your looking for a smaller battery that fit perfectly there without the extension, you can get a good AGM Miata battery that is perfect at the link below. We don’t have a Harbor Freight where I live, but the Napa tool center has been similar pricing for the hydraulic presses me and some friends picked up.

In stop hot air from radiator wil go straight in to intercooler.. It would be better inverse - intercooler on the bottom..

As there are two sides to the metal in that pinch weld and you only rust treated the outside it might have been better to do the cutout to really stop the rust. The coating did a great where it could cover.

I can 100% attest to DW injectors. Let my evo sit for 6 months with e85 up north...and the car started right up with no issues. No gumming. Nothing.

Awesome job an nice fab work. Would the radiator be removable once mounted? It seems kind of close to pull up may contact the engine and possibly the turbo. Unless u swoop the bottom

Taylor, I love your videos. But you can mount the rad like that. Instead of air flowing though it it's going to pass by it and put the hold. You need to v mount it the other direction if you want it to be efficient. I build Porsche racecars and work in imsa on a very successful team. I'm not a basement crap talker. Love the channel still!

If you think making AN lines is satisfying - start doing your lines out of stainless tubing. It is a pain in the butt till you get the hang of it - but they look amazing, are super rewarding to get right, and perfect for limited space/clearance since they are much smaller total diameter. I plumbed hundreds of cars with stainless - always is one of my favorite parts of a build.

At least you alternator belt wasn't as bad as what I found them I did mine. The belt was squeeking and I put a new one on and when I tensioned the alternator it was crooked the bottom bolt had come out and that was causing the squeek the whole time

Yes, I've drilled many steel control panel holes and I can't tell you how much drilling at low speeds, having sharp bits and also add a drop of oil when dry if possible helps.

Hey Taylor, rubber isolate the FPR or mount it to the engine. The current setup will increase cabin noise.

I am shore you probably already know this, but just a reminder that you really need a side shroud for the v-mount to work properly, also might need a opening or something in the hood for the intercooler, the air needs somewhere to go when it has passed through! But I am vary exited for this build so keep up the work!

You should get a bench press drill, pretty cheap and they get you really slow speed to not heat the crap out of the drill bit. And also I would love to see more of that rust repair method, I think it's the only one that makes sense and looks like it works. Only working way other that cutting metal and replacing was phosforic acid but it's not that efficient

Think you might need some more clearance around the chassis rails and radiator. It looks like such a tight fit at the moment, chassis flex and expansion of radiator when it warms up might lead to some issues.
