You should put some chicken wire in the attic over the lift. Keep out the critters. You don't want a family of birds dookin in your attic or worse. If it would get in way of lift, you could wire it like this> /\

The "Weldingrod Holder-Holder" is verry nice to see, but it would be sturdier if you bend just a little edge on the front down (on the side with the holes) so it wouldn't flex so mutch. Thank you for your awesome Content! Greetings from Germany :)

Taylor months ago: I need a yard with a lot of large trees. Taylor now: Look at this pile of leaves! Lol
Nicholas Maisonneuve
Just a general question - how do you know what gauge wire you need? From light bars on your truck to wiring shop lights, how do you decide what gauge to use?
Nicholas Maisonneuve
@Taylor Ray Great explanation. How would you decide which size fuse/breaker you would need? Also, how do you determine the amp draw of a light fixture for example?
Taylor Ray
Taylor Ray Month ago
You look at amp draw. Wires are rated to a certain amperage over a given distance. It’s really a heat rating that correlates to amperage. It’s better to have too big of wire compared to your fuse in a car/breaker in a house. So either of those will pop before the wire melts.

Taylor id look into getting clear roofing sheets or light domes youd be suprrised how much light good ones will let in. Thats what all commercial shops around here have because they cost nothing to run
Daniel Kendall

Do you have a link to those lights?
Erik Renner
Erik Renner Month ago
Your lighting issue is because you have not yet fully enclosed your building. The artificial light is escaping. It will be much brighter when you finish enclosing the building...and paint all the walls white.

Why not consider putting a strip of lights under the cross bar of the lifts? To just get that extra light on the projects your working on or? Have two lights on the floor? Strip lights? Pointing up? To help you while the cars are in the air, just turn them on for work on the sides and under the cars? Just throwing it out there.

Florida is just starting to experience fall weather just as the rest of us up north are just starting to experience spring. Also you should flip your tig rod mount upside down and add two small gussets. That way it won't flex at all and the gussets won't interfere with you pulling them out of the mount.
UNION TRANSPORTATION

So far so good. If I leave a water bottle on it and it sweats it’ll have a milky ring left but it goes away. Idk if long term water will effect it it’s supposedly waterproof but it’s holding up great.

You could use low bays next time as your ceiling height is relatively low. Greater beam angle meaning less fittings but the same lux levels. Just a thought for next time 🤟 Also would you ever use a German or British car for a project build? Keep up the entertaining work man
