Those sway bar brackets are known to tear out in track conditions. V8 Roadsters make a beefy weld in upgrade and Flyin' Miata makes a beefy bolt in one. Worth the upgraded.

Suggestion re front setup, Change your sway bar not the rest of your set up. Look through catalogs and find one that you can make work that wont make the tyres hang at max lock You prob dont need a huge sway-bar , mix and match I had to do it on my westfield as the previous owner thought body roll on a lotus 7 type car was good.... suppress shudder ... i mean wtf.. But that wheel breaking on lock when it hits the sway bar has got to be a issue in drift You should be able to find a bar that will do the job

Taylor, why haven’t you just swapped the big long bolt on the upper control arm for 2 short bolts. Don’t know much about mx5 suspension but that would make sense to me (it’s the way the 350z arm mounts.

Hey lad I brought a set of justable tie rods for my Rx7 and they fit on of my racks that I have put in to my old Rx7. They were to suit series 5 Rx7. But they fit s13 Silva and r31 skyline racks. But I found that they are all the same. How can I send you photos of these? Or the part no. Would help. It 4.am here at the moment. So when I’m able to go out to the work shop I will find the part no. For you. Patt.

I'd bet with the amount of deflection on that front sway bar, it's probably acting at half its spring rate. The factory sway bar brackets are flimsy enough, but extending them down further just creates a big parallelogram twisting effect in the mounting points before it can even translate to torsional motion at the wheels

Pushing the whole wheel and hub out gives bigger lever to the wheel verse the shock mounting point making the suspension less stiff as well.

Definitely make sure you’re getting the right TPS voltage at full throttle. If the plate isn’t opening all the way you may need to adjust the throw on the pedal to pull the cable a bit further. Don’t want to leave power on the table :)

Nice job! I was wondering why not use a threaded rod with nuts on either end to get help get the upper control arm out without the head of bolt hitting? Also with the sway bar how about using a length one to get tire clearance or maybe even a Nascar type with removeable arms that can be bent to make so much clearance? Just my .02

Taylor it might be worth a try to extend both upper and lower front arms all the way out and then take the wheel spacer off, this should bring the whole hub out an inch but then the wheel closer to the hub by an inch so the rotation point is closer to the Wheel might not rub then.

You can limit the wheel travel so that it doesn't hit the swaybar by putting a lock stopper on the lower control arm. This might be a good tempermanent fix for your issue of the wheel dragging on the swaybar.

also change that alum bushing for the diff. it WILL distort. alum softer than steel. why dont you pour your own bushing. theres 2 part mixes avail per shore hardness. and make a skeleton and outer encasement for bushing and pour it in and let dry. remove from mold and viola...
