I think with the lower amperage using thinner rods to feed the welding, you would get much cleaner welds.... Cefiro is looking great though!!

Nice work on the fitment and cuts on that pipe. Have you ever looking into building a fixture table to help support/hold/clamp pieces in place while welding? Also makes replication of pieces a lot easier if you want to make more than one...always nice to have back ups! I think it’s something that you’d be totally into. We recently built one (video on our channel), and it wasn’t to bad to put together. Takes a lot of time but the out come is worth it. Keep up the great projects. Always enjoy the content!

Love the build. It's rediculous how much I miss Sandy! Can't wait till the shop is dried in🤣

Take this if it helps, but, I cut all my filler rods in half. Instead of having them smacking me in the head and flailing around while I'm welding lol.

@Taylor Ray guess I feel like I end up with the same amount left over between the two peices. Lol

I used to do that too but I’m trying to get better at using the whole thing so I have less leftovers from when they get too short.

Hope that coupler holds at the throttle body. Not really enough straight material there for a good clamp.

Hey Taylor tried to hit you up on email but it says an error occurred on your channel site. But because of your savings code I decided too order a Kove commuter speaker and you were right they Rock. Not that I doubted you I just can't believe the sound quality is so good. Thanks for the bargain and the heads up!!
I feel like you should've started at the throttle body.. idk that's just the way I would've done it. Either way

Pro tip, you can buy bulk straight hose at semi truck shops. A lot will be open 24 hours so you can grab more if something happens. I've made couplers out of it before too in a pinch.

yea, he should have just dumped the out-side of the IC straight out the bottom into the intake! way less air friction...

May have missed it but any reason why you didn't just modify the end tanks of the cooler so you had extremely short and easy cooler piping?
Troy no longer from Pro Fab
After spending the last thirty something years as a racecar fabricator watching you grow as you figure stuff out is dreadfully "rewarding" for me to watch. lol Just remember, as an actual fabricator welding is really a small part of the big picture. Being able to solve problems and engineer solutions that are functional and look good are the keys. I know guys that can weld like nobody's business but can't actually fabricate worth'a chit. Keep challenging yourself, you'll get it. Good luck and stay safe!
is there any reaso why u made ur *intake side of the intercooler* end tank like that instead putting the hole pointing to the intake ?

welding is a process that takes so many hours and soo many pieces to make professional results and develop that feel. Especially aluminum. Its also one of the things professional internet critics will never let slide, which is no fun for people that fabricate their own stuff. don't beat yourself up. if you're welds always hold what they are meant to its honestly just about improving cosmetics and your skills

Some of your welding problems to is you seem to use a lot of rod when sometimes you need to back off the rod and work the puddle as in it’s actually welding the pipe together

Try filling the pipe with argon while your welding. Should make for a much better weld. I use tape and tin foil to seal up the pipe with a hose from the argon tank. Just a thought.

your fab work is good but you missed the mark on this one. a v mount setup is utilized to minimize intercooler piping length thus reducing lag. you really should have designed the intercooler tanks to inlet and outlet at the top facing the turbo outlet and throttlebody so you could make real short charge pipes. the way you did it has the same amount of tubing as the fmic.

If you use winded instead of pb to slide hoses on, the windex will evaporate, which could avoid the hose sliding off under pressure. Love the progress

Not sure why you did a crazy bend of stuff to the TB. Could have half cut a pipe and welded it to the intercooler for the endtank and kept part of the full pipe at the end to then go to the TB. Make sense? Or maybe this was done purely for aesthetics? Purely opinion, please dont take offense. :)

Looking killer man! One issue you may run into is boost leaks, where both couplers are going on( the TB and turbo outlet). Gonna be a hard time getting them to seal up around the inside radius of the bends. Just a thought.
