Building out my gooseneck enclosed race trailer from an empty shell.

I bought this 32ft ATC aluminum gooseneck race trailer with nothing inside, just a bare shell with walls and lights. Then added a full set of cabinets, tool box, counters, etc. To turn it into a proper race trailer.

I think the black tool box looks good, but if the OCD kicks in, have you considered just applying a little white vinyl wrap to the exposed black?

a small roll-up door in front of the toolbox would be a good idea and double secure tools should be able with space above the tool box but what a difference a few things makes

Thanks for all your content I like how you do just what ever needs to be done. so on another note I live in Oregon cant seem to find a part. do you know a good place to get used parts I am looking for just the front or rear oval marker light opening so I can pull a mold off it as I am making my own body kit for my mazda mx6 and I can get smoked markers for a miata.

Could probably get some white vinyl and wrap the toolbox for cheap

Taylor, very rarely do you have a bigger toolbox than you need, maybe bigger than will fit but not than you need. I kid but seriously, nice, clearn setup. Love the rig

I know im kinda late to comment i didnt get a chance to watch the last half of this sooner. But idk if anyone else said it but is it a concern not being able to get into the Cabinet to the left of the toolbox? If a car is in there he wont be able to open the door to the shallow cabinet? I guess that would only matter if he needed to get in there while a car is in there but... what if???

I love the build of the trailer, but you bought cabinets to get rid of the totes and now your putting the totes in the cabinet?
Timber Ghost
Timber Ghost 20 days ago
Some of that framing you used for the cabinets, you should make a short version frame on the other side of the trailer that you can hold all your fuel containers in place so they don't take up cabinet space and they are all held securely. Just drop them in and they are secure from sliding around or falling over.

You are going to regret not having access to the goose. Climbing over the cabinets sucks after awhile. We built stairs/steps on the door side. I would build roll in roll out tire racks that strap the floor/wall. No climbing into goose. Easy access tires back to the car/tire changer. We run dirt sprints. Every tire comes out every trip damn near. Seems like you do the same. my 2 cents.

Taylor. You need to get some of these paper towel holders. They have a ratcheting function which helps hold the roll while you tear off a piece. They come in a brushed silver or black finish www.amazon.com/dp/B0024AKCTS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0WQZ9ZAQMK4DBN46VCWH

Man those cabinets and shelves transformed the trailer... I know he mentioned an in-floor winch but I'm shocked it doesn't have and air compressor in it yet!!! Maybe in that left corner dead space hidden under the countertop!!!

It's cool watching Taylors catalog of videos from a few years ago compared to now. He went from telling everyone he's broke and needs to sell all of his cars, all the way to showing us his sweet new tow rig, welder, house etc. Glad to see life is swinging up for him, seems like a great dude.

Buy a bunch of allen head plugs and put them in all of the holes for the e tracks. Just a random suggestion. They would be flush to the floor and fill the holes.

You could possibly weld hinges on the counter top and still be able to use the top of the tool box as a tray/ storage

Looks cool! Might as well put in a mini-fridge so you don't get sunstroke in the hot Florida sun, seems to be mostly hot pavement at all those races you go to?! Oh, and you could consider one of those roll-up trailer awnings too.

Ever think of putting some solar panels on it? They’re pretty cheap these days, and they’d keep your batteries charged all the time, and charge tool batteries at events without worrying about a generator.

Texture epoxy where the e track was. It'll give some grip to the floor and cover up the holes. Make sure you put down a good etching primer first.

tennyson james
tennyson james 22 days ago
awesom set up! one thing though, if you had left a gap between the two double stacked cabinets and mounted the bottom one flush with the floor, you could have extended the counter top space a bit and had a nice narrow section of counter, and had everything flow a little better

You could make the counter above the toolbox hinge upward to allow access behind it for hidden storage. That way it's not space wasted.

Taylor what you should do is put that little cabinet in to the space in the corner that’s not being used so that way you have an easier access to the gooseneck.
